Our Beautiful, Broken Hearts

Breathe. Move. Breathe again. See the lines that weren't there before. Notice the creases, the sensations, the pulsing in a new direction. Understand the things that have no words, hang on to the breath that is taken from you when you feel the thing that is new. Don't pontificate about what cannot be explained. Feel it out, touch something that does not exist in physical form — taste it, smell it, hear it, see it with clear vision. For anything that is rare is sacred and therefore unwilling to be defined. Make no effort to define the unexplainable, to create something that already exists, for anything that already exists does not require full attention. These fleeting moments only come but once in a lifetime and it is only after they pass that we recognize their purity and breathtaking ability. As something that can take your breath away, even for a second, is worth a lifetime of living out the mundane. We are here to experience the moments in between, the butterflies that live in our hearts, the seconds that make us forget who we are, where we are going, and how we are supposed to get there. We are on this earth for a mere second in the lifetime of the universe and if we should, even for a second, take for granted our precious time we have here, we will miss all that is worth living for. Life, as we know it, is a gift, a fleeting gift that is meant to be felt, meant to assault our senses. Each day we have a choice to excite our senses, to pay tribute to this experience and honor it by allowing ourselves to fall — to fall deeply, madly, insanely in love with all that surrounds us. Every moment, every person, every breath we are given is a chance to explode into ourselves, into our very being. We are born to breathe the breath that keeps us moving, dancing, walking, touching, laughing, singing, crying, folding over in pain. We are here to feel life. There are no limits in experience, only acceptance of what is. Be here, now, in this moment, and you will be presented with an abundance of color, shape, sound, vision, vibration, movement. When we allow ourselves to fall into life, to lean into the fear, into the unknown, we are allowing ourselves to live a life worth living. We are here, if only for a moment. This moment is all we truly have, so breathe. Breathe this moment so much that you feel like you can float, like you can fly... we all have wings —they are hidden deep within our beautiful, broken hearts. So just breathe.
