Friends and family, family and friends, it’s all the same except that some look a little more like you.
A person that truly loves you still loves you after you’ve just spent the past thirty minutes telling them why you don’t trust them, resent them and why they drive you crazy.
Spend no time burning bridges, just building them. But sometimes, you start a fire and need to go back to put it out and repair it. Always go back and repair a half burnt bridge.
If you get a stomach ache every time you eat cheese, you shouldn’t stop eating it because that’s crazy. Just limit your cheese intake.
When you see someone with great hair (short, long, red, black) don’t make any rash decisions about your own. Call your mom, sister or best friend. They’ll talk you right out of it.
Money doesn’t make you any happier than the next guy but it definitely alleviates unnecessary stress. Don’t let money be the driving force to your own success but don’t deem yourself unworthy of financial freedom.
Dancing will always cheer you up. So will a hug from your best friend.
Nobody needs more than eight pairs of shoes. You just don’t.
A good winter coat and solid winter boots are a necessity if you live in cooler climes but if you just can’t part with your favorite Chuck’s for four to six months, wear them, with thick socks of course.
If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it. Especially don’t go into debt for it. Debt sucks. Avoid it at all costs if you can.
Stretching, yoga, walking, biking, lifting weights, running, participating in Susie’s Belly Busting Boot Camp are all things we should be doing on a regular basis. Find something you like and make it a part of your days.
Find time and money to travel. Save some money, take some time and get to know the world you live in.
Read. Read. Read. Books, newspapers, magazines, textbooks, journals. Always read. It makes you a more interesting person and your vocabulary will improve exponentially.
Balance. In everything, balance.
Not everybody needs to or cares to shower everyday. Some are just smellier than others.
Always follow your heart and trust your gut. They’re only wrong as often as your mother is, which is never.
When you move slowly and quiet things down, you can be more thoughtful in your words and actions.
To be continued…..
